The Wild Heart of Omatozu

Omatozu is a working game farm where the raw beauty of the Namibian bushveld meets the tranquillity of the Omatozu Collection.

The landscape transitions from open plains south of the Ombotozu Mountain to bushveld of the mid-section. To the south, the terrain shifts again, characterized by rugged rock kopjes and the textured remains of dry riverbeds.

Home to 21 species of plains game, our landscape is a natural haven for wildlife – from towering Giraffes and iconic Gemsbok to rare Sable and the striking Springbok. While the plains are active by day, the wilderness also harbors more elusive residents, including Honey Badgers, Brown Hyenas, and the silent, roaming Leopard.

With vibrant birdlife flourishing across the farm and around the camp, Omatozu invites you to experience the authentic and peaceful rhythm of the Namibian wild.

  • The Walking Trail: Discover the ancient beauty of our granite boulders on self-guided walking trail (short and longer loop).
  • Self-Drive Safaris: Explore the landscape at your own pace along two designated routes designed to showcase the region’s diverse terrain: a dedicated 4×4 loop in the south and a 2×4-accessible loop for standard vehicles in the north.

All walking, cycling and self-drive activities are strictly limited to designated routes ( see walking map and self-drive maps.)

Complimentary Game Drives

Guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary game drives on designated routes. As a working game farm, routes and access may occasionally vary according to wildlife management, game movements and farm operations. Certain areas may therefore be temporarily restricted, with alternative routes offered where possible.

The Lapa at the main camp: A multi-functional space featuring a bar, dining area, and comfortable lounge.

The Boma: The ultimate spot for Namibian hospitality, offering campfire views over the farm dam and unmatched stargazing.
