About The Farm

Omatozu is home to 22 different species of game including Giraffe, Kudu, Gemsbuck (Oryx), Springbuck, Impala, Hartebeest, Eland, Zebras, Waterbuck, Wildebeests, Letchwe, Steenbuck, Lechwe Roan Sable Nyala, Damara Dik-dik, Duiker and Ostrich. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, ant-bear, honey badger and brown hyena all form part of the ecosystem. Several species of cats including Cheetah and Leopards are found on the farm, but these are rarely seen.

Omatozu also boasts an abundance of birdlife, which can be observed in and around the camp and the dam or during walks and game drives.

Activities

The camp is ideal for those wanting to unwind by getting in touch with nature:

Stare into the coals underneath a starlit sky; to listen to the sounds of nature during the night while cuddled up safely in your luxury tent;

watch animals and birds coming to drink at the dam while sipping a sundowner drink on the deck of the lapa or simply enjoy a deliciously prepared 3 course meal in a beautiful and romantic setting.

During the warmer months, guest can relax around the swimming pool.

Omatozu offers walking trails and self-drive game viewing (2×2 and 4×4). Maps with routes available at reception.
